School Rules and Regulations
We believe that classroom discipline is necessary in order to provide a cooperative environment where the learning process can effectively take place. Please sign and return to your child’s teacher our rules and expectations:
OUR EXPECTATIONS

Students are required to attend every lesson on time.

Students are required to come prepared to work. Have all appropriate materials and supplies in your bags. (Course books, notebook / paper and pencil / erasers should be brought to every class.)

Students are required to participate in all class activities, do their homework and follow their teacher's instructions.

Parents are expected to stay in touch with their children's teacher.

Students and parents are encouraged to participate in various celebrations and cultural events and share their talents and expertise with the Greek School.

Parents are suggested to provide their kids with a water bottle and a snack for the mini- break.
-
Parents are encouraged to speak Greek at home.
OUR CLASSROOM RULES

Be courteous. Actively listen to the teacher and the class discussion.

Remain seated during lessons unless the teacher asks you to stand up.

Follow teacher's directions on the first request.

Raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking.

Use “inside voices”. Work quietly, share and do not disturb others who are working.

Use appropriate working behavior (no yelling, whistling, singing, etc.)

Respect your teacher and your fellow classmates. Treat them with kindness in your words and actions.

Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
-
Don’t bring toys in the class.

No eating or chewing in class without teacher’s permission.
OUR BUILDING RULES

Students must not leave the Education Building without parent or teacher's permission.
-
No running or loud voices in the corridors. Keep "inside voice” in the Education Building.

Students must not litter, damage or destroy anything in the classrooms / building.

Walk one behind the other as a class when moving around the school.
-
Students must not take anything that belongs to our school or the Montessori school. The furniture / equipment on the first floor and the snacks they store on the second floor belong to Montessori. We have to respect their belongings.
CONSEQUENCES
When one or more rules are broken, the following consequences may be carried out by the teacher and / or Principal.
1. Student’s Warning.
2. Time Out.
3. Student will be sent to Principal’s office.
4. Contact the parent when his / her inappropriate behavior continues.
5. Parent and child meeting with the teacher / Principal / Our spiritual Father.
