Welcome To Our School

Welcome to the Greek Evening School of the Oakland Ascension Cathedral. Since 1965 we have been helping children and adults of both Greek and non-Greek descent to learn the language, to discover the richness of the Hellenic culture and to promote the values of Greek families.

We offer the opportunity to learn Modern Greek in a creative and academically challenging environment. Our classes are held twice a week by experienced native teachers and our curriculum is designed in accordance with the Theoretical Framework for Greek Studies in the Diaspora, sponsored by the Hellenic Ministry of Education.
